9/23/2023 0 Comments Critical role percy![]() The most notable example are when Tary tried to convince the cook to make good food for the Trickfoots against Vex's wishes and Matt said it was a hard persuasion role because it was going against the wishes of the lady of the house and when the bartender following the Lionel incident made reference to Vex and Percy collectively as the de Rolos. In playing the NPCs of Whitestone, Matt has dropped hints about their relationship that the other players failed to pick up on. I assume most of this will be addressed in game (and my ideas will likely be proven wrong), but it is fun to speculate.įirst, while Percy and Vex didn't tell VM about their marriage, it's not a secret. ![]() maybe they were just afraid of a monster attacking during their vows, that group does attract a lot of that for some reason. So, what do you guys think? was this a thoughtless and sort of mean thing to do? or is there a good reason for it? Normally i wouldn't ask this as taking someone's name (woman or man) isn't necessary at all to me but just because Laura made an aside about hating the last name Vessar on TM. They just strike me as people who haven't had a lot to celebrate in their lives so i was truly surprised they didn't want those close to them to celebrate with them. Or was there actual reason behind it? Behind Vex a person who has made clear she loves her brother and her friends not wanting them there for this day? behind Percy someone who lost most of his family, not wanting the people who saved him, his city and his last remaining family member to be there when he officially brings someone new into that family? Percy especially being someone who seems to have great respect for human traditions. Was this a secret for the sake of having a secret? I think probably yes, but there were opportunities, and the news came out not as a confession to loved ones but rather a statement to a God.Īs Sprigg says Percy is Secrets, he seems to enjoy them. Were they ever planning on telling their loved ones? Was their beach vacation secretly the honeymoon? Now that they're married I think back to the (i believe) winters-crest celebration and Vex's ceremony, Did they secretly just have the wedding and celebrate it unbeknownst to their loved ones? If so i'm reminded of the moment where Vex tells Keyleth and/or Vax not to go off and get married.ĭid we see the wedding? or at least the reception? Was it during the year break? most likely because it seems they wouldn't have had time otherwise. But clearly the wedding happened before that and there were (probably) moments where it could have been said, most notably Vex talking to Vax about having secrets. I understand this might just be because 's awkward now that time's passed, Vax died etc. So we know that Vax is supportive of Vex and Percy's relationship, he's said as much, so has Keyleth and no one else seemed to object so the latter seems unlikely. Eloping is something I associate with either pure impulse (drunk in vegas) or people without supportive friends and family (supportive of their relationship i mean). I mean but Vex and Percy have friends and siblings, Vex specifically is very, very close to her brother so usually it would be expected that she'd want them to share in their joy. This is quite literally a post because it confuses me and makes me curious.Ĭould've been spur of the moment to avoid a fuss etc. I have seen a few reactions to the bombshell that Vex and Percy are not engaged but rather married.
